POSITION 1: HORSE RIDING INSTRUCTOR / COACH

Well this is exactly what our Horse Riding Instructor fulfils every day they work at Bonogin Valley Horse Retreat.

Due to continued high demand, we are seeking expressions of interest for a Horse Riding Instructor.
The person we are looking for must be a confident, experienced and qualified instructor.

The duties would typically be (but not limited to):

  • a brown horse standing next to a fenceClean stables if needed
  • Brush & rug the horses as needed
  • Put horses out in separate paddocks (ability to lead 2 horses at once)
  • Clean and fill waters in paddocks if needed
  • Sweep tack room
  • Meet & greet customers throughout the day – inc. registration and briefings
  • Prepare all horses for lessons
  • Conduct lessons to our very high standards of instruction, friendliness.
  • Ensure that all customers enjoy their experience and progress
  • Enjoy yourself!

Work hours:

Work required one day a week across Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday and coverage any other day as required. Other days in school holidays.

POSITION 2: STABLE HAND

  • Imagine being your own boss while working!
  • Imagine escaping for a couple of hours from hustle and bustle every day and chilling out with just you and the horses.
  • Imagine having full access to a horse for your own leisure for free!

Well this is exactly what our Stable hand role fulfils every week morning or afternoon at the Bonogin Valley Horse Retreat.

Due to continued high demand, we are seeking expressions of interest for a stable hand.
The person we are looking for must be confident and very capable in handling horses. Must have owned or worked caring for horses previously.

The duties would typically be (but not limited to):

  • a brown horse standing on top of a dirt fieldHandling horses in the paddock
  • Clean 5-6 stables
  • Brush, saddle up, rug the horses as needed. Including any medical treatments.
  • Put them out in separate paddocks (ability to lead 2 horses at once)
  • Clean and fill waters in paddocks
  • Sweep and clean tack room
  • Enjoy yourself!

Work hours:

  • Duration would be approx 2-3 hours per day
  • Work required usually starting between 6am to 7am daily or starting 3-4 daily

Packaging

  • Package (if desired) can include availability of horse for riding and arena facilities.
